Mothers' Union 150 Celebration Service

Celebrate 150 Years of the Mothers' Union at St James the Great

Join us as we celebrate 150 years of the Mothers' Union, giving thanks for a century and a half of faithful prayer, service and support for families and communities across the world.

This is a particularly special occasion for St James the Great, Colwall, as Mary Sumner, the founder of the Mothers' Union, was married here. We are delighted to mark this important anniversary in the very church that forms part of her own story.

The celebration service will be led by our Rector, Revd Preb. Melanie Horton, together with Revd Penny Littlewood, Chaplain to the Mothers' Union.

Sunday 9 August
2.30pm
St James the Great, Colwall

Everyone is warmly welcome, whether you are a member of the Mothers' Union, have supported its work over the years, or would simply like to discover more about its remarkable history and continuing ministry.

The service will be followed by a traditional afternoon tea, offering an opportunity to celebrate together and enjoy fellowship.
