The main services in Colwall are in the parish church of St James, but smaller services are held in St Crispin's Chapel, next to the Village Hall, and during weekdays in the main hall at Chevenham and in St Crispins. All the Coddington services are in the church. Inevitably there are variations from our regular pattern of services, but you can find the actual services which are taking place in the current month by clicking the "Services" button.

The early 8:30 service is a communion service following the Book of Common Prayer.
The main 10:00 service at St James is a choral communion service following the Common Worship book. We provide a service booklet, so that it is easy to follow. Our junior church, the Seekers, are in church at the beginning of the service, leave for their own activities after the first hymn and then rejoin us at the end for a blessing during the communion. So we are used to children and if you would like to bring yours along, please do. If they are very young, there is a creche for when they get bored.
Parish Praise is a service led by lay people, designed for those who like a more informal style of worship.
Matins at Coddington is for devotees of the Book of Common Prayer. Here is where you can appreciate the beauty of the old service book in a quiet rural setting.
Evening prayer in St Crispins often follows the prayer book, but we sometimes use other forms, such as that in Celebrating Common Prayer. It is a said service, providing a peaceful time to end a busy Sunday.
During the week, you can go to church too. On Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm, there is a communion service at St Crispins while on Thursdays there is a communion service at 10:15am in Chevenham and at 12:30pm there is prayer, fellowship and food at St Crispins. On the third Thursday this will be a communion service.
Finally, there is a short time of prayer from 8:30 - 9.15am every Thursday morning in St Crispins.
