May we introduce ourselves?

We are Church of England parishes in the diocese of Hereford. The Colwall parish church is St James the Great, found about a mile outside the centre of the village, down Mill Lane (past the village hall). The parish church of the village of Coddington is All Saints, a further two or three miles away. Traditionally both churches have the same rector and we operate the services together. Our services range from traditional prayer book services to informal worship.

We are currrently in an interregnum, but we are looking forward to a new Rector in August (see What's on for more details).  In the mean time, you can make enquiries to the parish office, telephone 01684 540 330. The address is The Rectory, Walwyn Road, Colwall, MALVERN, WR13 6EG. Pastoral work and worship is carried out by a ministry team of retired clergy and lay people.

We would like to welcome everyone to our churches, to join in a service, or simply to enjoy their stillness during the day. Or you might like to enjoy the views from the churchyards. We hope we have something for everyone, and if you have young children, then our junior church, is just for them.

The secretary of the PCC is Mr Phil Probert, telephone 540 506.  The annual report of the PCC was given out at the annual meeting and gives information on what is going on in the church. The year planner gives the services we shall be celebrating during 2008, while the Sunday Themes document gives the theme and readings for the main service each Sunday.
